We will accomplish our mission through quality control programs backed by fair policies, product development, product awareness, adequate inventories, vendor diversity, education in application and installation, strategic alliances with pump systems professionals and customer service provided by some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry. As pump systems professionals, we recognize that the key to both our and our customer’s success is meeting our customers’ needs so that we remain a dependable and cost effective source.
OUR JOURNEY
Our business journey began in Amarillo, Texas in 1979 operating under the chartered name Amarillo Pump & Supply Co. Our founding focus was to serve the groundwater industry as the best value-added pump supplier. Since then, we have continued to grow our technical skills, product and service offerings, served markets, and geographic coverage through the investments of business expansions and acquisitions. Due to company growth, we have operated under distinctive business names in various markets such as Amarillo Pump & Supply Co., APSCO, Desert Pump & Supply, and formally Global Pumps & Equipment. Companies that have been acquired include Desert Pump & Supply, Flo Mechanical, and JV Tube & Shaft.
On August 24, 2009, we adopted our newly registered trade name, Gicon Pumps & Equipment, to uniquely identify our company to our most valued asset, the customers we serve. We now operate 9 locations and employ over 150 trained and talented personnel, each dedicated to quality customer service.
